3 DIY masks for gorgeous hair

Use these homemade beauty recipes instead of expensive salon treatments and possibly harmful chemicals!

  1. Banana And Honey

Putting honey on your hair sounds daunting, doesn’t it? Yet, if you dilute is properly, it won’t get stuck in your tresses forever. Honey is a natural moisturizer, which can efficiently restore your dry, and damaged hair. Bananas contain potassium, which repairs dry, dull, and damaged hair shafts and strengthens follicles. Use this mask every two weeks to get the same results you would in fashion hair salon! For this particular mask you are going to need:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 tbs of natural raw honey
  • 1 tbs of olive or coconut oil

Mash the bananas as much as possible. You can use a blender if you don’t have enough patience to do it manually. Add the other ingredients and mix them thoroughly. Apply to your hair and leave the mixture in for at least half an hour. Shampoo and condition as you normally would.

  1. Yogurt, Apple Cider Vinegar, And Honey

Apple cider vinegar does miracles with hair. You can use it as a simple rinse if you need to boost the shine and make your hair soft and silky. Yogurt is extremely beneficial for naturally oily and greasy hair. It moisturizes the shafts and controls the oil production. For this mask you are going to need:

  • 1/2 cups of unsweetened yogurt
  • 1 tbs of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbs of natural raw honey

Don’t use sweet yogurt for this purpose. The sugar can irritate your scalp and cause inflammation. Mix the ingredients and add a banana or an avocado to the mixture if it’s too runny. Apply the mixture to your locks and let it sit for at least 20 minutes. Rinse out and shampoo as usual.

  1. Eggs, Milk, And Lemon

Eggs are extremely beneficial for your hair. They contain protein and potassium, which nourish hair, prevent its dryness, and repair the damaged shafts and follicles. Vitamins A, B12, and D prevent hair loss, and promote the growth. Putting an egg on your head may be disgusting, but it’s highly beneficial for your locks! For this recipe you are going to need:

  • 2 yolks or 2 egg whites depending on your hair type
  • 1/2 of lemon
  • 3 tbs of olive or coconut oil
  • 1 cup of milk

Choose the necessary egg part and add milk, and oil of choice. Mix all of the ingredients together and squeeze half a lemon in the concoction. You might need to use a little less lemon juice or skip this step altogether if you are struggling with dry and sensitive hair and scalp.

Make sure to wash off these masks very thoroughly to get rid of the food in your hair. We suggest doing them right before you wash your hair so you can shampoo the residue away.
