Constantly battling with frizz and tangles? Don't worry! The solution may just be right inside your kitchen.

Today’s star is the highly nutritious fruit avocado. Do you know that avocados are one of the most nutritious fruits in the whole planet? Eating it raw or adding it as an ingredient to a hair growth mask will definitely bring a whole world of difference to your untame hair.

Not only is avocado a natural hair and scalp moisturizer, it also helps promote thicker and stronger hair growth because it contains loads of vitamins and minerals that support the natural hair growth cycle.

It contains antioxidants that help prevent cell damage. It also has essential fatty acids that deep moisturizes your hair from root to tip. And also it has protein and B vitamins that help grow hair exponentially. B group vitamins are known to help thicken hair as well as strengthen it by nourishing the follicles.

Protein is another crucial nutrient that your follicles need to grow strong and thick hair. Without protein your body cannot produce keratins. Keratins are structural protein fibers that build your hair and nails. Without these fibrous proteins, your hair will become prone to damage and breakage.

So to give you an idea how nutritious this superfood is, here’s a list of some of the vitamins and minerals that you can get from eating it or incorporating it into your daily beauty regime.

How to Make your Own Avocado Hair Mask

You’ll need the following ingredients:

½ cup sliced avocados
1 egg (you may remove the yolk if you want)
1 Tbsp. olive oil (or any essential oil of your choice)

Note: You can also create your own variations to this recipe. For example if you want instead of oil, you can use mayonnaise or coconut milk or honey. Really any natural and organic ingredient that you think is a great pair for the avocado and is beneficial to your hair.

To make the mask, just add these ingredients together inside your food processor or blender. Mix well until the consistency becomes thick and smooth enough to spread on your hair and scalp.

Apply and massage on your scalp and hair strands. Leave on for about thirty minutes to an hour before rinsing. This can also be a great overnight mask if you wish to allow your scalp to really drink all of the nutrients found in the avocado and oils blended in your hair pack. Just make sure you wrap your hair properly to avoid staining your clothes and pillows.

After using this mask you’ll quickly notice a big difference in both the texture and shine of your natural hair. And brushing your hair is going to be a lot easier!
