6 Natural Tricks for Treating Sagging Skin

A saggy face is not a pretty sight. We want a skin that’s free from pores and wrinkles. Every woman wants a skin that is smooth, bright, supple, and tight. These are qualities of a young-looking complexion that all women covet!

So if you’ve noticed that your skin looks older than it should be or if it has started to sag a bit, remember it’s not too late to rescue your skin. With a few lifestyle, diet, and skin care adjustments, we can rejuvenate skin to make it look more youthful and glowing.

Here are some simple and fast at-home remedies to prevent sagging skin:

1. Egg white and yogurt mask to increase keratins

Egg whites have been used to help tighten sagging skin. Fresh, raw egg whites contain keratin-boosting proteins. Keratin fibers are structural proteins that give our skin its strength and flexibility. Without keratins, the skin will be prone to damage. Thus, eating eggs and applying face masks made from egg whites is quite beneficial to our skin.

To make your own skin-tightening egg white mask, combine egg whites with about a tablespoon of plain yogurt. Both are rich in protein. This combo moisturizes while tightening your skin. Mix, stir, and beat until frothy. Apply the mask on your face in an upward stroke. Leave it in for about 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water first and then with cold water. For best results do this step regularly for about twice a week.

2. Boost collagen with a natural vitamin C face spray

Collagen is another essential protein structure that our skin needs for strength and elasticity. A skin that’s dry and dehydrated is prone to wrinkles and sagging. By increasing collagen production we help boost collagen; thus preventing early skin aging.

To make your own collagen mask, extract juice from one to two lemons and directly apply it on your face. Let it sit for 10 minutes before washing off. You can do this in the morning before shower or before bedtime. We can also store our own collagen-boosting face mist by adding freshly squeezed lemon juice to about 8 ounce of distilled water. Store it in the fridge and spritz on your face everyday.

3. Boost your natural skin moisture through organic oils

A well-hydrated and moisturized skin stays young longer. Essential oils are a healthy way to moisturize and nourish the skin. They don’t contain chemicals that leach into our system and harm our health.

Choose an essential oil that contains moisturizing and anti aging properties such as argan oil, coconut oil, and olive oil. These oils help retain skin moisture especially after cleansing.  Plus they are a good sunscreen.

4. Use a honey mask for youthful and flawless complexion

Wild and organic honey is rich in antioxidants and antibacterial nutrients. It can literally save our skin not just from aging but also from common skin blemishes such as pimples and adult acne. Antioxidants such as vitamin A, C, and E help protect our skin from free radicals, which damage our skin cells. This results in aging and sagging.

To make your own honey face mask, combine 2-3 tablespoons of honey, a squeeze of lemon, and argan oil (or any other oil of choice). Apply the mixture onto your face and neck. Just allow the mask to dry up on your face before rinsing off with warm water first and then finally with cold water to close up the pores.

5. Get your daily dose of skin nourishing vitamins and minerals

Beauty starts from within. Poor diet can lead to acne, premature aging, and skin sagging. One of the quickest ways to ensure we get all of the essential vitamins and minerals for beautiful skin is by juicing or drinking smoothies. It’s fast, easy, and delicious!

Choose colorful fruits such as berries and dark green veggies as they are rich in antioxidants and protein, keeping our skin strong and hydrated. Also let's not forget our vitamins. Be sure to take good quality supplements. Liquid vitamins are a great option as you can easily incorporate them in your drink and meals.

6. Exercise some more!

Exercise and physical activities help boost blood circulation. Healthy circulation is another important component in maintaining a youthful and healthy skin. Know that without blood flow transporting nutrients and oxygen to your skin cells, the skin will not receive proper nourishment. By exercising you’ll aid circulation and nourish your skin at the same time!

Our skin speaks volumes of how we take care of our body. Just follow the above tips and your skin will be well taken care of. Stay young and beautiful naturally, all the time!
